I can’t stress this tweet enough

No I fuckin went there a few weeks ago and let me tell you it is THE MOST depressing place in the entire city lik holy shit. And the entire time I was worried because almost all museums and attractions in Manhattan you have to exit thru a gift shop and that thought just pissed me off alone. You don’t have to exit thru it but there damn sure is one in there.

And that’s not even the most fucked up part of the museum. There is an ENTIRE ROOM with every single person who died in the inccident’s picture up on the wall. I couldn’t even step into that room. Then there’s this like second “historical part” of the tour (as they like to call it) where the majority of the attractions were things like people’s found possessions ( like sneakers, cards, firemen uniform parts/helmets, parts of entire fire trucks and other vehicles and tech…) and they would have a little blurb next to it that you could read. Then there were even headphones where if you wanted to listen to them it was just people describing the horrendous day and what they were doing at the time.

Literally everyone in the museum looked miserable and on the verge of tears except for of course the children who weren’t even born yet. And as soon as you walk in there to start looking around the “attractions” you know it’s a bad idea because as soon as you walk in they have these square pillar like things and if you stand in a certain position it fills out a picture of the world map, and on it it shows quotes and you hear the quotes of people talking about what they were doing at that time when it happened. And as soon as you walk past that you see parts of the old building itself like the fucking north stairwell which people were using to escape the building.

0/10 WOULD NEVER RECCOMMEND GOING THERE. UNLESS it’s in the future and you’re showing your chidren and grandchildren. Otherwise please avoid at all costs.
